School Days


Recently this week on Independence day - I somehow went back to the fun and better days of life - school days:)...the sad thing is - I never realised at the time that I was living the best days - I was eager to get out and be someone - do something - and be someone's ...as the saying goes - the grass is always greener on the other side.

I ended up making a list of all those little nothings that make me feel good just thinking about ^_^ :

• Makin sure I had oiled hai - 2 plaits!
• Also that my uniform was ironed well, clean socks, polished shoes!
• Makin sure I drank down my cup of milk fast so that I wouldn't be late for school
• Singing the school anthem/national anthem
• Looking fwd to break time to eat form canteen!
• Feeling cosy in class on a rainy day
• Walking with hands behind my back when not in class but in school building
• Running up n taking care I make no noise with my shoes!
• Talking to my friend behind the hall on the green steps
• Picking up my tiffin from the school gate m lookin fwd to that hot food!
• Library reading time
• Gossiping about teachers
• Sitting in the scorching sun during sports / rally day
• Waiting outside the staff room for a teacher to walk out so that I could speak with her
• Teacher’s day cards ( not that I was a sucker for em / chamchi!)
• Crows coming and taking food (took my samosa once and scratched my thumb!)
• Feeling shy in front of seniors
• Feeling gd when I got all my HW correct
• Feeling like lil red riding hood in my red school sweater n red hairband!!!

That's all I could think of - lot's more incidents ofcourse - which I will treasure and have in me till I live...:)
